Sandro Tonali will join Newcastle United for €70 million from AC Milan.
Sandro Tonali, an international midfielder for Italy, has been signed by Newcastle United from AC Milan.
The international player from Italy has finished moving to St James' Park in a transaction that is estimated to be worth over €70 million.
Sandro Tonali has agreed to a five-year deal that will run until the summer of 2028, but Newcastle have the option of making it longer.
His entrance is a big victory for the Magpies, who convinced him to abandon AC Milan despite his previous support for the team and previous statements that moving from Brescia to the San Siro was his "dream move."
The 23-year-old has 14 senior caps for Italy and is a full international. Most recently, he captained the Italian Under-21 team at the European Championships.
He appeared in all 12 of AC Milan's group and knockout games as the Italian team advanced to the Champions League semifinals last season, making 130 appearances in Serie A.
"First of all, I want to thank Newcastle United because they are giving me a huge opportunity for my career," Tonali said. Tonali is anticipated to be a member of the Magpies team that travels to the United States for the Premier League Summer Cup later this month.
