The largest execution this year was carried out in Saudi Arabia, where five convicts were put to death for carrying out terrorist assaults on mosques.


The five individuals—four Saudi citizens and one Egyptian—pleaded guilty to organising the terrorist act that left five people dead and numerous more hurt in the east of the oil-rich nation.


According to the French news agency AFP, neither the date nor the mosques targeted in the attack were disclosed by the Saudi authorities.


The manner of a person's execution is currently unknown, however it is known that the nation beheads or hangs those who get this type of punishment.

According to data, the nation has executed 83 people since the start of this year, mostly in May, when 20 people died due to terrorism.
