South East governors and Igbo leaders are planning to meet with President Tinubu
Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state declared on Thursday that South East Governors and other Igbo tribal leaders planned to meet with President Bola Tinubu to discuss the issue of insecurity in their regions.
This was said in a press conference shortly after Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma met with Nigerian President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Palace in Abuja.
The governor remembered that the leaders of the Igbo cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, as well as the other governors of five states in the South East had decided to meet with the president to discuss the unrest in the area. He added that he travelled to the presidential palace to meet with Mr. Tinubu and the regional leaders of the South East.

Tinubu declared a state of emergency regarding food supplies.

These measures include the prompt provision of contemporary fertilisers to farmers and the public distribution of grain kept in government storage facilities.
Since concentrating just on monsoon agriculture will not benefit the nation, the president also requested that the Ministry of Agriculture provide water and assist in improving farmland during the summer and monsoon.
In order to support the populace now, Tinubu repeated the government's view that an agency should be created to adjust the price of agricultural items and to enhance the food storage programme in government warehouses.
