Strike: Labor union advises Nigerians to stock up on food

The Nigerian Labor Union (NLC) has advised Nigerians to buy food and other essentials and store them, as a result of the general protest that will take place across the country on the 2nd of August.

During RFI Hausa's discussion with him, the secretary of planning of Komared Nasir Kabir said that there are all signs that this protest can go beyond the strike, and that is why they are advising Nigerians to provision of necessary goods.

According to him, there is no reason that will stop them from going out to this protest as long as their talks with the federal government today do not lead to anything, and as long as they start this protest there is nothing that will stop them. then they got their demand met, which is to lower the price of fuel in the first place.

Comrade Nasir added that among their main demands is the return of fuel subsidies that the government removed without delay, and lowering the prices of some products, especially food and other necessities.

Comrade Kabir also said that this time their group will not let go, there is no pressure that will make them withdraw from this strike unless their demands are met.
