Two well-known politicians who disagree with President Kais Saied of Tunisia have been ordered to be released by a court.

For the past five months, Chaima Issa and Lazahr Akremi have been held captive by the nation's authorities.

They were among 20 dissidents who were detained in February on allegations that they were planning a coup.

Since he suspended the Tunisian Parliament two years ago, President Saied has been charged with having too little power.
