The Nigerian Army dismantled the IPOB camp and recovered the weapons


The IPOB camp and its ESN candidate were demolished in Asaba, Delta state, by the Nigerian Army along with the security agencies.


The army claimed in a statement posted on its Twitter page that on Saturday morning, officers raided the separatist camp in the Asaba woodland and were successful in recovering weapons.


During the operation, the soldiers and the robbers engaged in gunfire; as a result, the bandits fled their hiding place.


According to the statement, the army detained one of the separatist combatants and recovered three automatic firearms and five AK-47 rifles. additionally a single-gun G3 model.


Five ammunition cases, an ax, and the IPOB flag are among the additional items the troops found.


Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff of Nigeria, lauded the army's and other security forces' efforts to end the banditry wreaking havoc in the area and bring about calm.
