The Nigerian Army has launched a war against ethnic conflict in Plateau


To combat the ethnic strife between farmers and herdsmen in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, has established a new military force called "Tiger's Tooth."


The Nigerian Army stated in a tweet that the force was established to cope with local government violence, which is increasing the level of security disturbance in the region.


At the time of the inauguration, the Chief of the Nigerian Army addressed the army forces and urged them to remove any security threats to the area and Plateau State as a whole.


Major General Lagbaja advised the soldiers to move swiftly to any location where they are required in order to make sure they had taken every precaution to ensure the safety of the locals.
