The Police confirmed the killing of 6 people and wounding several others in Zamfara
We learned of the incident on June 28, 2023, at approximately 3:46 a.m. from the Chief of Quarters, Alhaji Bello Umar, who said that unidentified bandits, who are thought to be members of a volunteer group, invaded the village of Kadamutsawa in the Kutarkwashi emirate and began shooting randomly, killing six people and injuring four others who were taken to the Kutarkwashi first level health centre for medical attention.
This was revealed to the media in Gusau by ASP Yazid Abubakar, the spokesperson for the Zamfara State Police Force.
The DPO of Kwatarkwashi allegedly led the joint military and police personnel to the village of Dan Zakulo where the crime was perpetrated in order to punish the perpetrators.
The leadership urged the victims' families to exercise patience and give law enforcement time to find the perpetrators.
Zamfara state residents were given assurances by the commissioner of police, CP. Muhammed Bunu, that the killings there must cease because the federal government is committed to reestablishing peace throughout the nation.
