The military spokesman, Colonel Amadou Abdramane, made this warning while speaking on television, ahead of the ECOWAS meeting that took place this Sunday in Abuja.
According to reports, Colonel Abdramane said that the Nigerian meeting was organized with the intention of agreeing to the plan to attack Niger with military force, using the troops of other countries that are not part of the ECOWAS group.
During the meeting of the leaders of the countries in the region, the participants of the meeting decided to give the soldiers who made the coup a period of 7 days to return the elected president Bazoum Mohammed to the throne, or face severe sanctions.
The leaders of the countries of the region have also ordered the chief security officers of their countries to hold an emergency meeting to plan the ways to be followed in the implementation of military action to restore law and order if the need arises.
