We will not support the coup attempt in Niger - Ecowas
The Economic Development Organization of West Africa (ECOWAS), according to President Bola Tinubu, will not accept what is taking place in the Republic of Niger.
Security personnel reportedly blocked the country's administrative institutions and the presidential residence on Wednesday morning.
The President of ECOWAS, Tinubu, responded by making a statement in which he declared that the military coup attempt would not be accepted.
The declaration read, "The information obtained from the Republic of Niger shows some unpleasant things that are happening in the political leaders of the country."
