Recently, some politicians have said in public forums that they want to reduce danger, not break up relations with China. So what kind of threat does the US seek to get rid of?

According to the American magazine "Diplomatic Affairs," the United States claims to be attempting to eradicate certain things it deems dangerous, but in reality, it is seeking to curtail China's influence in matters pertaining to national security, restrain China's position in matters pertaining to vital components used in the production of goods, and weaken China's market dominance globally. This mindset clearly dates back to the Cold War. The globe can now perceive opportunities, tactics, and technology thanks to China's progress. And if these are the risks, they unquestionably solely affect the interests of American politicians.

However, George Kennan, who instituted the policy of punishing the former Soviet Union and erecting obstacles in its path to prevent its development, gave up the idea of waging a cold war near the end of his life, revealing that some American politicians think the country shouldn't go down the wrong path of acting like a barbarian and impeding other nations' development.
