A New Zealand court sentenced a mother who killed her children to life
A court in New Zealand arrested a mother for killing her children, and sentenced her to life imprisonment for each murder.
Lauren Anne Dickason, a native of South Africa, killed her two-year-old twin daughters, and their 6-year-old sister, since September 2021 in the house in the Timaru region of New Zealand.
The judges who heard the case including 8 women and 4 men agreed that when the woman committed this brutal act she was in her right mind and not intoxicated.
Initially, the owner of her house, Mr. Graham, first reported to the police station after he came across the bodies of his children and the woman lying in blood when he returned home from a dinner party with his friends.
After conducting an investigation, the woman was arrested, but until the time she was sentenced, she did not give any convincing reason for committing the murder, as she was sane and did not have any mental illness or life pressure.
According to sources, Mrs. Dickason was admitted to a psychiatric hospital to receive medical tests, before she was sentenced to life imprisonment after the medical report showed that she did not have any mental illness.
