Fuel Subsidy Removal: Not Running Back On Protests, We Have Doubts On Tinubu – NLC
The Nigerian Labor Union, NLC, is determined to hold a nationwide protest against the removal of fuel subsidies on Wednesday, while expressing doubt on how President Bola Tinubu can overcome the inflation and rising fuel prices.
At a meeting of the Steering Committee on Distribution of Funds at the Presidential Palace in Abuja on Monday, the Chairman of the Union, Joe Ajaero, reiterated that the peaceful protest organized by the workers in Wednesday is here.
He resolved the concern that the police may join the protest and cause security problems, Ajaero affirmed that there has never been any violence in the history of workers' protests.
Ajaero called on the security agencies to ensure the safety of the workers during the protest.
