Something similar to drama was done on Tuesday when the leaders of Ogun state local governments knelt down and begged Governor Dapo Abiodun to pardon them over a petition against him written by one of them.

The Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Wale Adedayo, accused the governor of withholding the share of the local governments, environment fund and other rights for two years.

The chairman of the local government, who is also a member of the APC, asked the EFCC and ICPC to investigate the governor to get their rights as stipulated in the 1999 constitution.

However, the governor in a statement he issued said that he has never interfered with the funds of the local governments, saying that there is a joint committee with the National Budget Officers that manages the funds of the local governments.

However, in a situation where the allegations were withdrawn, the leaders of the local governments, including Adedayo himself, invaded the governor's office, where they knelt down and begged for forgiveness.
