Manchester United have completed the signing of Denmark forward Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta for £72 million.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Serie A side in 2022 and scored 10 goals in 34 appearances last season, has joined Old Trafford on a five-year deal.

I have been a fan of this great team since I was little," said Hojlund.

"I dreamed of joining Old Trafford as a Manchester United player."

He is the third player that United coach Erik Ten Hag took in the summer after Mason Mount from Chelsea for 55 million pounds and Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana came for 47.2 million pounds from Inter Milan.

Ligue 1 champions Paris St-Germain are reportedly eyeing Hojlund as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe.

Hojlund will miss the opening weeks of the 2023-24 season, which United kick off against Wolves on Monday, August 14, after picking up the injury in pre-season training against Atalanta.
