Niger has ordered its soldiers to remain in a state of emergency
The soldiers who carried out the coup d'état in the Republic have asked the country's forces to be prepared to face any attack from foreign countries as a result of the increasing threats the country is facing.
The Reuters news agency said that a statement of the military that is being circulated on social media said that taking the action is necessary to protect the country and avoid harming the soldiers.
The ECOWAS group has long been saying that it is ready to use military force to restore civilian rule in Niger as long as the soldiers who made the coup refuse to surrender.
The head of the organization, Oumar Torey, told reporters on Friday that there is no plan to invade Niger or attack its people, while diplomatic measures are being taken to resolve the problem.
