Niger: ISWAP fighters are flowing into Nigeria and Lake Chad
Reports indicate that ISWAP fighters are leaving their bases in the Sahel region and the Republic of Niger, where they are returning to other parts of the Lake Chad region and North West Nigeria.
The Daily Trust newspaper of Nigeria reported a strong source from the country's military that the terrorists and many of them in groups are leaving the Sahel areas with heavy weapons.
The secret source of the Nigerian Defense Forces also continued that the fighters of ISWAP are from this migration to avoid what has happened in the plans of the ECOWAS group to attack Niger with war.
The security source also continued that there is strong evidence that the terrorists have started to camp in the areas of Kukawa, Abadam, Gaidam and Guzamala towns that surround Lake Chad.
Some of the ISWAP groups have camped in Katsina, Kaduna, Zamfara and Sokoto states, all of them in northern Nigeria.
The Daily Trust newspaper reported that this has already started to threaten the peace that has been achieved around the Lake Chad area, but there are reports that the Civilian JTF forces have already started to fix their problems.
Among those suspected to have migrated from the Sahara region of the Republic of Niger to Lake Chad include Abubakar Modu, Sheikh Ba'ana Dujum, Marte Alwady, Muhammed Ibn Abubakar and El-Mansur Dawahli Mouda, all of them senior commanders in the ISWAP group.
