Russia imprisoned the leader of the opposition for 19 more years

The Russian court has extended the prison term of the Russian opposition leader for 19 years after accusing him of extremism.

Navalny would have been in prison for 11 years before he was sentenced to another 19 years this Friday.

The pirates say that, indirectly, Navalny will continue to be in prison until the time when President Vladimir Putin ends his rule.

Navalny's spokesperson said, the court sent Navalny to a full security prison which is far away from the public.

The reporter of the AFP News Agency who watched the trial, saw how Navalny was smiling when the judge read his crimes to him, and he even hugged someone who was also said to be a criminal.

The opposition who criticize the Russian government have already pushed to extend Navalny's stay in prison.

Navalny, 47 years old, once led a massive protest against President Putin, as he exposed obscene information related to Russian government officials.
