The Governor of Kano has sworn in the first woman as the Chief Justice of the State
Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has sworn in Judge, Dije Audu Aboki, as the first female Chief Justice of Kano State.
The swearing-in ceremony of Dije took place on Monday at the African conference room in the state government building.
The governor, Abba Yusuf, called on the judiciary to support his government in demolishing the illegal constructions in the state, in the government's efforts to recover the state government's assets.
Also, he emphasized the importance of the three levels of government, where he said, the relationship between the executive and the judiciary is not a competition, it is a work of supporting each other.
He praised Dije Aboki for her work, describing her as a patriotic expert, which led to her elevation to the position of Chief Justice of Kano State.
In addition, Governor Yusuf said, there is a need to punish those who commit serious crimes in the state so that it becomes an excuse for other people who think of doing this.
