The House of Representatives will investigate the sale of helicopters by the Buhari administration
The House of Representatives Committee on Public Asset Management has said it will begin an investigation into the sale of a helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Aviation Training College in Zaria.
Premium Times quoted the chairman of the commission, Ademorin Kuye in a statement saying that they will investigate the sale of the Bell 206L-3 model helicopter which was bought with public funds.
He said that the government sold the plane at the time when the navy needed it to improve its operations.
"Our committee will investigate the sale of this government asset, which is very useful in training pilots, to ensure that the rules are followed and our country is not harmed in the sale," said Ademorin Kuye.
Last Thursday, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajuddeen Abbas, launched the parliamentary committees, before announcing the vacation.
