An 84-year-old man has pleaded guilty to killing his wife because she refused to allow him to meet her, while he accused her of having sex with the pastor of the church she attends worship in Edo state, Nigeria. The man also said that he does not have the money to pay the increase to get the five required.
An old man named Gabriel Uhuwa, who joined the Edo State Police Force, told journalists that his late wife, who is 75 years old, has been avoiding him for a long time as his wife.
Although the old man said, he regretted killing his wife who bore him seven children.
Mr. Uhuwa stated that,
My wife doesn't listen to her. Every time I wanted to sleep with her, she avoided me. We have seven children together, five sons and two daughters.
The elder said, he took his wife's case to their children who also spoke to her, but she still turned a deaf ear.
He also complained to his family and her family, but she refused to listen to anyone, where she continued with her usual business and dealing with pastors.
According to him, every time he asked her, she told him that she was sick or suffering from stomach ulcers at the same time she was having sex with the teachers of the mosque.
He used a machete to kill her after she got angry with him for disobeying him according to him.
