The people of Niger and Northern Nigeria are one nation - El-Rufa'i
The former governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, has advised the Economic Development Community of West Africa (ECOWAS) to stop the plan to use military force in the Republic of Niger.
In a message published by El-Rufai on his page X, Tuwita today Tuesday, he described the residents of Northern Nigeria and Niger as brothers.
He said, "Obviously, the people of Niger are one and the same community as those of Northern Nigeria. We should avoid this civil war between brothers."
The former governor made this warning following the announcement by the security leaders of the ECOWAS group that they are ready to use military force in Niger to return the former president, Muhamed Bazoum to power.
In their last meeting in Ghana, the chiefs of the Ecowas forces said that they have set a date to send troops to Niger to deal with the government of General Abdoulrahamane Tchiani to restore democracy.
