 There was a protest against the sexual harassment of students in the university

Some students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, in Awka Ibom, staged a protest in the school on the allegation of harassment by defamation and demeaning by teachers.

Punch reported that the angry students, most of them women, are demanding that the president of the university, Prof. Charles Esomone, allow the release of the complaint report filed before Prof. Obi Oguejiofor which affects many teachers.

They also sent a complaint to the Federal Government to intervene on the allegations they presented. They emphasized that the right students are in dire straits.

In their response, some of the university professors who commented in private, testified to the fear that as long as no action is taken, the students will continue to face life-threatening abuse.
