Tinubu Removed Maryam Shetty's Name From Ministerial Names
On Wednesday, Tinubu sent a list of 19 names for the second time, including Shetty's name.
Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu removed the name of Dr. Maryam Shetty from the list of people he chose as ministers.
A letter sent by the president to the Senate, shows that the name of Dr. Maryam Shetty from Kano was also replaced by Dr. Maria Mairiga Mahmud.
On Wednesday, Tinubu sent a list of 19 names for the second time, including Shetty's name.
He previously sent 28 names to the parliament.
Tinubu also added the name of the former Minister of State for Labor and Employment, Festus Keyamo, to the list of names he sent for the second time.
The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, read these changes in the House of Assembly on Friday, while the selection of the nominees continues.
