Tinubu sent two delegations to Niger, Libya and Algeria on the issue of Bazoum
President Tinubu said his biggest hope is for the teams he sent to overcome the problem the Republic of Niger is in as a result of the military coup against Mohamed Bazoum.
The President of Nigeria Bola Tinubu has sent two delegations to the countries of Niger, Libya and Algeria to resolve the political crisis in the Republic of Niger.
A statement from the presidency, which is also the leader of the ECOWAS group, said that the first team was sent to the Republic of Niger.
The delegation is led by the former head of the military regime of Nigeria, General Abdulsalami Abubakar and His Majesty the Sultan, Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar III, and the chairman of the ECOWAS administration, Omar Alieu Touray.
The second delegation is of one person, Ambassador Babagana Kingibe, the former Secretary of the Federal Government of Nigeria, who will visit the leaders of Libya and Algeria to discuss with them the problem in Niger.
The statement signed by Ajuri Ngelele, Tinubu's spokesman, quoted the Nigerian president as emphasizing the use of negotiation techniques to resolve the scandal that followed the overthrow of the elected government in Niger.
"Our main concern is democracy and the stability of the regions," said President Tinubu, while speaking after meeting with the delegations that will go to Niger.
This move by President Tinubu comes a few days after ECOWAS was dissolved
vow to overcome the crisis in Niger, including the possibility of using military force.
President Tinubu asked all those affected to do what they can to end the conflict peacefully to ensure peace across Africa.
