Zulum gave 10 million naira to the wounded soldiers in Borno
The governor of Borno state, Babagana Umara Zulum, has given 10 million naira to the soldiers who were injured as a result of the fight against Boko Haram in the state.
In a message posted by the governor on his X page, formerly known as Twitter, he said the support was one of the promises he made two months ago when the Chief of Army Staff of Nigeria, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja visiting the state.
The Chief of Army Staff has gone to the state to celebrate the main prayer with the forces of the country in the battle field in Bornon state.
The Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman A Tar, together with the Chief Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Mustapha Ali Busuguma, handed over the money to the Commander-in-Chief of the Seventh Division in Maiduguri, Major General Peter Malla on Saturday.
