APC wins over NNPP in Kano House of Representatives seat
The Court of Appeal of the State, Federal and State Legislatures in Kano annulled the election victory of Yusuf Umar Datti, the candidate for the House of Representatives of Kura and Madobi and Garun Malam of the NNPP party.
While giving the verdict, Justice Ngozi Azinge, explained the failure of Datti to resign from Bayero University in Kano within 30 days before the election as the reason for this verdict.
She ordered INEC to keep the electoral certificate given to Datti in the past and declare Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso of APC as the one who deserves to win the election.
Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso got the second most votes in the election held on February 25, 2023.
