 The opposition leader in Gabon asked the Army to complete the counting of the country's election votes

The leader of the opposition in Gabon, Albert Ondo Ossa, who claimed victory in the election that the military broke up after the coup, asked the army in charge of the country to complete the counting of the votes cast in the country's election.

In a speech he delivered, Mr Ossa thanked the Army for saving Gabon from false arrests and attempts to change the election results, but he said there is a need to complete the counting of the votes cast by the people of the country.

Mr Ossa who declared himself the winner before the election results were announced, said that the military coup has given the opposition party the confidence to get justice in the election.

Shortly after the announcement of the results of the election that declared Ali Bongo Ondimba as the winner, the military announced a coup after the alleged fraud surrounding the election.

The results released by Gabon's electoral commission showed that Bongo won 64.27 percent of the votes cast

was voted while Mr Ossa of the opposition party won 30.77 percent.

According to Mr Ossa, joining forces with the forces that carried out the coup will provide a solution for the people of Gabon who are facing the pressure of life under the rule of Bongo whose family has spent ten years ruling the country.
