 Independence Day: Tinubu Gives Small Workers N25,000 Salary Increase

The President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in his speech on the National Independence Day, announced an increase of 25,000 naira to the salary of small workers for the next six months.

In his speech that was broadcast across the country on Sunday morning, Tinubu stated that his government decided to increase the wages of small temporary workers before implementing the minimum wage system to reduce the pain of the increase in the price of consumer goods.

Tinubu added that his government is committed to alleviating the hardships faced by Nigerians.

The president said that the government has come up with some plans that will benefit Nigerians directly and that will reduce the pain of rising prices of consumer goods.

The president said, in terms of transportation, there will be cheap and safe gas-powered buses across Nigeria.
