The Voice of America spoke to the Speaker of the Kano State Courts, Baba Jibo Ibrahim, regarding the reason for Murja's release even though the court initially said that she would not be granted bail, but he said


"There is no doubt that Murja has been released and it is good for people to know that the duty of the court is to administer justice of any kind, especially the case of the innocent when brought before it, and the court is made up of many parties.


He said that there is the prosecutor's side, there is the defense lawyer's side and there is the judge's side.


She was presented where the party that gave her requested that she be released so that they can continue with the investigation, where they said that there are things that they should investigate which they have not completed.


This is the reason why the court has granted her bail until the date it set for the hearing of the case.


After hearing the news about the bail, the media was full of rumors that the Hisbah commander quit his job as a result of Murja Ibrahim Kunya being granted bail by the court.


We contacted the Hisbah Board where the Deputy Commander of Hisbah, Dr Khadija Sagir Suleman, denied this, saying that this news is not true and confirmed that the Commander of Hisbah Shiek Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa is still on duty.


She added that on the part of the Hisbah Board, they carried out their duties and handed it over to the court.


According to the spokesperson of the courts, on Tuesday, the court will continue to hear Murja Kunya's case.
