The NLC did not contact us before announcing the protest across Nigeria - TUC
The TUC has claimed that it was not consulted by the Nigerian National Labor Union (NLC) before it decided to hold a two-day protest across the country on the 27th and 28th of February 2024.
The General Secretary of the union, Nuhu Toro, in a letter he sent to the leaders of the NLC expressed his displeasure over the fact that the trade union led by Joe Ajaero did not consult with the trade union led by Festus Osifo before taking the action.
The two groups have given the government 14 days to implement the agreement they made on solving the economic problem that is worsening the country, or they will go on strike.
The DSS has already requested the NLC to suspend its planned strike and engage in negotiations instead of taking measures that could lead to unrest, but the group led by Ajaero persisted. on the continuation of her decision to go on strike.
