 Afcon 2025: Three more teams from 24 to compete in Morocco

The remaining group matches will be completed on Tuesday in the qualifying rounds for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

So far, 21 teams have qualified for the African football championship, with three more to be announced on Tuesday.

More teams qualified for the tournament on Monday, including Sudan and Benin.

Last week, Nigeria, Tunisia, South Africa, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon qualified for the Afcon.

The other teams to play in Morocco include Zambia, Mali, Zimbabwe and Comoros.

Hosts Morocco have automatically qualified for the tournament, along with Senegal and Algeria, who performed well in their groups.

Egypt and Cote d'Ivoire, the current holders, have also shown great promise in the upcoming qualifiers, after their impressive performances in qualifying for the tournament.

Other countries that have secured places, but have not previously qualified for the tournament, include DR Congo, Angola and Equatorial Guinea, while Uganda and Gabon will return to the tournament with confidence.

South Africa, which performed well at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, will also be competing in the African Cup of Nations.
