Woman Shares Her Lip Filler Removal Process and 'Lip Flip' Procedure: 'It Definitely Hurt Pretty Bad'
Some of the top ranking celebrities such as Jeff Lewis, Farrah Abraham, Brielle Biermann and Kylie Jenner admitted to getting their lips fillers removed within recent years. The recent lady to come out with her experience is Blac Chyna, who shares her experience with removing her lip fillers and undoing all plastic surgery that she had fueled including butt injections, breast implants, and facial fillers.
More individuals have started to publish their personal experiences of reversing cosmetic surgeries; thus, now the practice has found its way into the social networks.
An earlier unfortunate scenario was a TikToker named Jazzmyn Wollfe who used the app earlier this month to tell her fans about the experience of extracting lip fillers.
She explained that the products that she received haven gone down so much and even though it has been 2 or 3 years since she last had filler, she still sees migration at the top of the lip and she really dislikes it. That I am going to have dissolved.'
There is a video posted on TikTok by Canadian singer-songwriter Wollfe of her getting filler removed in both of her lips. At the facility Subtly You in Ontario, she had her lips numbed and then received the procedure done by cosmetic nurse injector Shawna Leifso.
Lip fillers are hyaluronic acid injections that are in trend nowadays and can last up to 12 or 18 months; they fill the lips with such a material to add volume to them. To counter the effect, an enzyme known as hyaluronidase may be injected to help dissolve the lip filler faster than it would otherwise take.
Wollfe left the clinic and flashed her lips saying, "That girl was truly fantastic, she was really great." This side is real swelled up and it hurt quite a lot."
The following day, Wollfe uploaded a video in which she displayed some of her bruises which are common after the injections. She continued and said that she had experienced migration, which is one of the side people commonly experience, and it is the main reason why she decided to remove her fillers.
Migration refers to the mechanism of spreading hyaluronic acid beyond the area where one has injected, thus making the face deformed or lips asymmetrical. This may occur, among other things, due to over filling the region, wrong administration of fillers or poor aftercare.
My last visit to the lip filler was (I would say) 2020. But in most cases, filler tends to move to other areas and not go away completely, she told her followers.
And well pushed out it was, above my lip, she added emphatically. It was very swollen, but not my lips any more. It also decreased the size of my lip at times by forcing it down. I hence desire to have a lip flip instead.
Following the decision to dissolve the fillers on her lips, Wollfe then proceeded to do a lip flip immediately, and even documented the experience on TikTok.
Contrary to lip fillers, where the volume of the lips is augmented, a lip flip is a typical nonsurgical procedure that makes the lips appear larger. The Cleveland Clinic states that it is done by placing Botox injections on the corners of the mouth and borders of the lips. This causes the tonic of the muscles around the lip to relax so they cause the lip to flip up and become larger than normal.
In a broader sense, lip flips appear to be less fake when compared to lip fillers.
Wollfe posted a before and after picture along with a Tik Tok stating that she really liked the results of having a lip flip and that she could not see the results until it took approximately two weeks.
