The 39-year-old actress wore a yellow suit on the July 28 episode of Good Morning America that reminded her of Annie James' British preppy style from the 1998 movie. However, she said the ensemble had "a Freakier Friday twist."
Lohan wore a stylish butter yellow two-piece ensemble that matched for her appearance on the show. Olivier Rousteing designed the outfit for Balmain's pre-spring 2026 collection. It had a tweed jacket and a miniskirt that matched the jacket's white and black plaid pattern. The jacket and skirt both had fancy gold buttons on them as well.
The Mean Girls star added big tortoiseshell sunglasses, a yellow headband, a black leather Hermés Birkin bag, Jessica McCormack 2ct Diamond & White Gold Gypset Hoop Earrings, and bright yellow heels to the outfit. The attire reminded me of Annie Parker's yellow cardigan and checkered jacket and skirt combination from The Parent Trap. In both outfits in the movie, she wore a headband to keep her hair out of her face.
Lohan's yellow outfit was also a tribute to the 1995 movie Clueless, in which Alicia Silverstone's character, Cher Horowitz, wore a vibrant yellow plaid jacket and skirt that matched, made by costume designer Mona May.
On July 28, Lohan's look for Live with Kelly & Mark was also an homage to Hallie Parker from the 1998 movie. The actress donned a fitting Roberto Cavalli cheongsam-inspired minidress with a lot of colours for the event.
The dress had a mandarin collar and a corset that pulled the waist in at the torso. The pattern was bright and had tropical birds, flowers, and tree branches in it. Lohan donned a pale pink cheongsam-inspired minidress with a small matching handbag in The Parent Trap.
Lohan added brown tortoiseshell cat-eye sunglasses and a hot pink small bag to her Live with Kelly & Mark outfit.
After getting together with her Parent Trap co-stars Lisa Ann Walter and Elaine Hendrix for the Los Angeles premiere of Freakier Friday on July 22, Lohan wore outfits that were inspired by the movie.
Freakier Friday, the follow-up to 2003's Freaky Friday, comes out in theatres on August 8.
