Nottingham Forest in talks with Super Eagles forward over mutual contract termination

According to All Nigeria Soccer, Emmanuel Dennis's time at Nottingham Forest seems to be coming to an end. Reports say that the club is in talks with the Nigerian international about ending his contract.

The manager, Nuno Espírito Santo, no longer sees the striker as a long-term part of the team.

The news came from Dharmesh Sheth, a reporter for Sky Sports. He confirmed that Forest are looking to cut down on their roster as the summer transfer window comes to a close.

Dennis, who is 27 years old, moved to the City Ground from Watford in 2022 after having a great season in the Premier League, where he scored 10 goals and set up six others.

But his move to Forest didn't have the same effect. In 25 games, most of which came off the bench, the forward scored just twice during his first season.

Dennis was loaned to Istanbul Basaksehir, Watford, and Blackburn Rovers in the following seasons because he couldn't get a regular spot.

His most recent stint at Blackburn was tough; he didn't score in seven games and got sent off against Norwich City.

Dennis hasn't played a competitive game for Forest since the 2022–23 season because Espírito Santo has put him on the shelf.

The possible end of his contract would let him start over somewhere else as a free agent, and it would also help Forest's finances by taking away his paycheck.
