Famed producer and founder of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, has talked about a big part of life he thinks he may have missed while focusing on his music business.
During an interview on the Echo Podcast, the 42-year-old said that marriage was the one thing he didn't plan to give up in order to be successful. I never thought I'd be in my 40s and still not be married. That could be the one I lost. It will come if it wants to. "I'm fine if it doesn't happen," he said.
What else is there besides music?
Don Jazzy also thought about what he might have done if he hadn't become a music executive. He said he thinks he would still be involved in music or doing well as an impact. Even though he has to make this personal sacrifice, the producer, who is known for coaching stars like Rema, Ayra Starr, and Tiwa Savage, said that his success in the entertainment business makes him very happy.
Don Jazzy's first marriage
Before he became one of the most famous music artists in Africa, Don Jazzy was married for a short time when he was in his early 20s. He married writer and model Michelle Jackson in 2003 while they were living in London. But they were only married for two years before they got a divorce.
In past interviews, Don Jazzy has been open about his marriage. He said that his deep love of music and determination to build a business made it hard for him to balance family life.
Even though they are no longer together, he still calls Michelle a "beautiful soul" and says they are still friendly.
