The long-running fight between Nollywood actors Iyabo Ojo and Lizzy Anjorin has come up again, with Ojo threatening to sue her coworker aga...
The new threat comes after the Lagos State High Court, Osborne Division, threw out Ojo's ₦1bn defamation claim against Anjorin because of problems with the way the case was handled. The court also told Ojo's lawyer, Olabimpe Ajegbomogun, to pay Anjorin's lawyer, Ademola Olabiyi, ₦500,000 in costs.
In a long Instagram post on Monday, Ojo said that her lawyers had been closely watching the situation and writing down Anjorin's words so that they could be used in court.
"My lawyers aren't sleeping." Everything is being written down. Smart people pay attention to what experts have to say. "All things happen at the right time," she wrote.
The actor was worried that Anjorin was insulting, cursing, and supposedly wishing her children and grandson to die over and over again. It breaks my heart that Liz has called my family, especially my grandson, names, cursed them, and even wished them dead. I find it hard to keep my peace most of the time, but I choose to avoid the things that are bothering me. "No one can curse someone that God has blessed," she said.
Ojo said that she had been busy in the past few months with welcoming her first baby and helping her daughter. She hinted that when she got back to Lagos, she would take stronger legal action.
A fight that has been going on for years
The fight between the two actors goes back several years and has been talked about on social media and in courtrooms.
It is said that the hostility grew after Ojo openly supported Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, who is the Iyaloja-General and the daughter of President Bola Tinubu. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo is also married to Anjorin.
The act was said to have made Anjorin accuse and attack the person online, starting a hatred that would last for years.
Since then, Anjorin has made fun of Ojo many times in Facebook live meetings, which has led to parody videos on TikTok and other sites.
Ojo says that her coworker is behind threats against her family, including a letter that Ojo's daughter Priscilla got in May saying that their whereabouts were being watched.
The fight got worse after there was a fire at Ojo's office in Lagos. She blamed ongoing threats and said Anjorin should be held responsible if anything happened to her or her family.

Even though she lost in court, Ojo says her silence was intentional and based on legal advice and personal control. In her Monday post, she made it clear, though, that she would not let the matter go.
She said, "Silence can be powerful." She also said that she had ignored the distractions because she had to take care of her family, but that the time for court action was coming up soon.
The fight between Ojo and Anjorin has been shaped by lawsuits, petitions, online teasing, and personal threats. It is still one of the most publicized and heated feuds in Nollywood.
