What started out as a peaceful online prayer session in London rapidly became dramatic when Ghanaian preacher, Pastor Isaac Anderson, was robbed live on Facebook.

The pastor was broadcasting live on Hoe Street, Walthamstow, at around 6.30am, when two cyclists wearing balaclavas attacked him. He never knew about the danger that was waiting for him, he was too focused on getting his message out.

A bus driver, passing by, asked him to pay attention by honking his horn several times, but before he could do anything, one of the masked men grabbed his iPhone 16 Pro Max right out of his hand.

What the robbers did not know was that the phone was still recording the whole event in real time on social media.

"Hey JP, he's on Tiktok. He's on TikTok live bro... No fam. How do I end it? "Look at Facebook, it's on Facebook," one of the thieves can be heard saying in the video.

"Oh s**, the other said quickly as he tried to cover his face before the live stream stopped.

Later Apostle Anderson recounted the experience:

"Suddenly, someone from behind on a bike just came up and took my phone from my hands [an] iPhone 16 pro max." It's not easy. "All my data was on it," he said.

He also recommended that people should always be aware of their surroundings.

You have to be very careful when you're proceeding with your daily activities. Your phones and your precious belongings - be careful, be careful, be careful.

Thieves, burglars, and robbers abound. This is London, you don't know the people that are around you that are gonna come and hurt you.

This comes as London sees a rise in mobile phone thefts. Reports say that more than 70,000 devices were taken on the city's streets in 2024.
