The man's video is now going viral on social media. In it, he says that VDM is trying to stop many Igbo youths from working in China while saying they are "helping Nigerians get cheaper products."
In the video that went popular, the angry Igbo man spoke out strongly against VDM's new move, which he said would connect Nigerians directly with Chinese producers. He said this would destroy the jobs of many Igbo traders who work as middlemen in wholesale and import trade. You may remember that Intelregion said VDM wants to connect Nigerian business owners directly with Chinese makers so they can get cheaper clothes, aluminium, glasses, and other goods.
Since VDM is in China right now, keeping his word, he has been putting Nigerians in touch with Chinese manufacturers all week. A film of him touring an aluminium factory was posted on his official Instagram page earlier this week. In it, he told the Chinese owners to start a business like that in Nigeria. He put the prices of some of the goods on his page, which are pretty low compared to Nigerian markets, and said he would put Nigerians who were interested in them in touch with the people who make them.
