Former World Footballer of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a powerful message to young people around the world days after becoming the first footballer billionaire.

The 40-year-old Al Nassr FC and Portugal captain, whose net worth is now estimated at $1.4 billion, delivered the message shortly after scoring a sensational long-range goal for his team in a 5-1 win over Al Fateh SC in the Saudi Pro League on October 18, 2025.

The goal was his 800th club career goal, further solidifying his place among the greatest footballers of all time. Ronaldo is still an integral part of Al Nassr, leading by example with his work ethic, discipline, and desire to win, despite his advanced age. Taking to social media after the match, he wrote:

"Success is not an accident ."

The message, while short, captured the attitude that has characterized his two-decade career - a dogged work ethic, perseverance and belief in himself. For a player who has broken so many records, the night in Riyadh was yet another reminder that greatness is not free, and your legend is not a fleeting occurrence. You're not just a football player, you're a universal hit. You're a symbol of belonging, a symbol of loyalty and a symbol of self-confidence. You are one-of-a-kind, and the most conspicuous.

Also, one @aliasabel38 reacted; "One thing about greatness is that we don't rush it, it comes slowly, CR7 for a reason [?]" Another one @433 said; "Coldest caption."
