Portable: "Death Pranksters" Attack Him in Airport Fight Video.

Matters of interest Habeeb Okikiola, who is also a Nigerian singer and is popularly known as Portable, has released his statement on a video that was uploaded showing him engaging in a fight at the Port Said International Airport.

In another video that was posted on the internet, Portable explained that it was not as it appeared. He claimed that he was the possible victim of a joke.

The singer of the song Zazoo Zeh, is quoted saying that he was approached at the airport by a group of young pranksters who were performing a scenario of one of their favorite "death prank" shows. It is a trend that has been circulating on Tik Tok. He described them as death pranksters and said why they were so famous:

They normally work in sixes. One of them fakes death in the house of a person and they all gather round and shed their tears till that individual revives.

Reflections When Entertainment Goes Too Far.

Portable begins his news with a larger discussion of the rising trends of how dangerous pranks are becoming more prevalent on the social media platforms in Nigeria.  Although the popular and funny content perform very well on the internet, some makers are beginning to confuse fun and annoying.

Besides being disturbing, the so-called death pranks are also destructive and may end up hurting individuals.  Such stunts are quite easy to cause havoc or even criminal charges when security is at an extreme and emotions are running high such as in an airport.

Portable, as usual, replied in a very dramatic fashion, but, it is, in fact a very valid point: not all people are amused by such jokes.  The pressure on celebrities is high, and particularly on personalities that are in the news most of the time. It is no laughing matter that one is taken by surprise by a fake disaster.

Social media posts must make people laugh and not scare them.  What's the lesson here?  Those who create things need to think twice before they hit the record button.  Since something that appears amusing on the internet can easily turn into a disaster in real life.  #[?]
