VDM told the world in a video that he opened the closet in his hotel room to see if there was an electric iron for pressing clothes, but instead he found an adult item that looked very strange inside. As a result of what he saw, he called the situation "fishy and scary" and asked if this was how the hotel usually treated its guests.
To be sure, he went to his friend's room in the same hotel and didn't find anything like that. He felt uneasy, so he went right to the front desk of the hotel to ask some questions. He said that the staff also looked confused and said they didn't know how the object got there. While in China on business with Nigerian traders, VDM suggested that the strange experience might have been a trap or set up, since he has been working on himself to resist the urge to masturbate.
