Zulum doubles Borno workers' pay for Ramadan
Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has announced a three-fold increase in the number of temporary workers in the state during the holy month of Ramadan.
The increase will apply to all temporary workers earning N10,000 a month.
The governor made the announcement while presiding over the distribution of cash and food rations to staff at the State Government House in Maiduguri on Monday. X
He said, “I am proud of all of you for your hard work and dedication in cleaning and renovating the Government House.
"This is the month of Ramadan, and all the good things should start at home, which is why I have decided to support you with food and some money to help your family in this auspicious month," he said. .
The governor also urged them to use the month to pray for the return of peace in the state and the country as a whole.
