 ASUU To Hold Emergency Meeting With Its Members, On The Possibility Of Resuming Another Strike

ASUU So far the date has not been set, but there are indications that the officers will hold an emergency meeting on the issue of the October half salary paid to them by the government.

 The National President of ASUU, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke told reporters that they have not been paid their full salaries even though they have returned to work.

 Emmanuel Osodeke has indicated that the leaders of the officers' union will hold an urgent meeting to decide on what the government has denied them soon.

"We have been paid half of our salary, we have not been given any reason, and we understand that Chris Ngige has written to the Accountant General's office and IPPIS that we should be paid only for the time we called off the strike, while we are waiting for our monthly salary to be paid  After months, we saw that we were paid half of what we receive every month, said the ASUU group.

 The Nigerian government does not reward the teachers of Nigerian universities, and there are signs that as long as ASUU holds this emergency meeting, it will surely engage in a new strike.
