Manifesto: Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s 10 promises to Nigerians

Thursday, the candidate for president of the All Progressives Congress released an 80-page policy document with an eight-point plan.

The PUNCH says that national security, the economy, agriculture, power, oil and gas, transportation, and education were at the top of his list of action plans.

Ahmed Bola Tinubu Manifesto said in his manifesto, which The PUNCH got a hold off on Friday, that his goal is to create a new society based on shared prosperity, tolerance, compassion, and a firm commitment to treat each citizen with equal respect and due regard.

Here are 10 of the promises And Manifestos made by the former governor of Lagos State.

1. Make Nigeria a better place to live, especially for our young people, by giving them enough jobs with fair pay.

2. Make, make, and come up with more of the things and services we need. Nigeria will be known as a place where people make things, not just buy things.

3. Export more and import less to make the naira and our way of life stronger.

4. Keep helping our hard-working farmers by having a smart agricultural policy that encourages productivity and makes sure they make enough money to support their families and feed the country.

5. Update and grow the public infrastructure so that the rest of the economy can grow at the best rate.

6. Give our young people and women confidence and help by using new industries like the digital economy, entertainment and culture, tourism, and others to build the Nigeria of the future right now.

7. Train the poorest and most vulnerable people and help them get jobs. We want Nigeria to be a place where no parent has to send a child to bed hungry and worried about what tomorrow will bring.

8. Make, send, and share enough cheap electricity to give our people the power they need to light up their lives, homes, and even their dreams.

9. Make sure everyone has access to and can afford basic health care, education, and housing.

10. And most importantly, set up a bold and assertive policy that will create a strong yet adaptable national security architecture and action to get rid of terror, kidnapping, banditry, and all other forms of violent extremism from our country.
