Safety and economics President Muhammadu Buhari Unveils an 80-page Action Plan to Supplement Tinubu's Manifesto
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has said that national security, the economy, education, oil and gas, agriculture, transportation, and power will be at the top of his 80-page action plan, which President Muhammadu Buhari will release today.
Bayo Onanuga, who is the director of media and publicity for the APC presidential campaign council (PCC), said this in a statement yesterday. He said that President Buhari would release the 80-page transformational plan today at the presidential villa banquet hall.
He said that the president will lead APC governors, members of the party's national working committee, and other top party leaders to the Banquet Hall of the villa for the launch of the party's presidential campaign council (PCC).
He said that this would be the official start of the party's campaign season, with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party's presidential candidate, and Senator Kashim Shettima, his running mate.
Onanuga said that the 80-page document called "Renewed Hope 2023 – Action Plan for a Better Nigeria" has policy options for many different areas.
He talked about what the document said and said that the former governor of Lagos State "will put national security, the economy, agriculture, power, oil and gas, transportation, and education at the top of his list of priorities if he is elected President Buhari's successor in February."
Onanuga said that Tinubu also talked about "policy options for healthcare, the digital economy, empowering women, judicial reform, federalism/decentralization of power, and foreign policy."
He went on to say, "He (Tinubu) promises to put a lot of money into sports, entertainment, culture, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship, which will give millions of young Nigerians more jobs and opportunities."
"Tinubu also says he will keep and grow the huge social investment programs that the Buhari administration started."
Onanuga also said something about the foreword to the action plan, in which he said Tinubu said his plans came about after he went all over the country and talked to people from all walks of life.

He said what the candidate for president had said: "Our country's history shows that our people are our most valuable asset. Nigerians are some of the best people anywhere, whether they are hardworking farmers, busy market women, dynamic young business owners, or hopeful children. When given a fair chance, they do well in everything humans do.
"Senator Shettima and I have traveled to every part of our great country to hear what people have to say. Young and old, rich and poor, educated and not educated, Christian and Muslim, everyone has said what they think and what worries them. When people have hard questions, they don't look for easy answers. They also don't want to hear the same broken, unimaginative, and failed promises over and over again. "Our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), was founded on the idea that the people of our beloved country are entitled to the benefits that only progressive good governance can bring."
The APC presidential candidate says that after hearing what the people want, he is ready to change their lives for the better, just like he did when he was governor of Lagos State for eight years and put together the best team.
"When I was governor of Lagos, my team and I created institutions and policies that changed the state. It became a safe place for the people who lived there and a source of wealth for anyone who was willing to work hard to reach their economic goals. What my team and I did in Lagos, we can all do for Nigeria as a whole. Our goal is to build a new society based on shared prosperity, tolerance, compassion, and a firm commitment to treat each citizen with equal respect and due regard.
The media director said that Tinubu said that Nigeria can be completely changed by building on what the current APC government of President Muhammadu Buhari has already done.
Tinubu says that security is the "bedrock of a prosperous and democratic society." He says that his administration will make it a top priority to protect the lives and property of its citizens by using the country's national security, military, and law enforcement assets to keep all Nigerians safe from danger and the fear of danger.
"The current government has done a lot of good work. When the Buhari government took over, terrorists had already planted their flags and claimed Nigerian land as their own. These attacks on our national sovereignty were stopped by the Buhari government, which brought peace to many areas. Thousands of people who had to leave their homes have gone back to them to start over.
The campaign spokesman also said that Tinubu remembered that when he became governor of Lagos State in 1999, he had to deal with a tough security problem, which showed what a Herculean task he had to do.
"When I became governor of Lagos, there was a lot of crime in the state. Safety was not clear. The people were afraid. We took back our state with bold, no-nonsense changes to stop crime and creative ways to build institutions. It turned into a place where it was safe to live and do business. I'll use the same determined, problem-solving mindset to solve national insecurity.

"Our government will work to make sure that all Nigerians are safe, free, and doing well," the candidate was quoted as saying.
To do this, he said, Tinubu promised in his Action Plan to give the military more modern equipment and the needed technological support. He also said that the police will be changed so that they can take full responsibility for internal security.
"Police reform will focus on making the institution better able to do its main jobs of protecting the community and keeping law and order by fighting crime and preventing it."
Police officers will no longer have to do things like protect VIPs or stand guard. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps will take over the security of VIPs and government buildings, installations, and other important assets (NSCDC). The NSCDC will be looked at and changed so that it works better with our internal security system," he said, quoting Tinubu.
Concerning the country's economy, he said that the APC Presidential Candidate had promised Nigerians that his government would focus on the massive and unprecedented 4th industrial revolution, which would help young people go from being job seekers to being job providers.
