One of the reasons the Nuggets enjoyed a fantastic season in 2019–2020 was Murray. Covid-19 had a significant negative impact on this season, and there were strong limits on player movement.
In spite of this, Murray excelled and guided the Nuggets to the Western Conference championship game. Denver had not been in this position since 2009, but they fell to the LA Lakers, the eventual NBA champions, in the championship game.
Murray, however, also made headlines in March 2020 for reasons he probably didn't intend to.
