Nicolle Wallace gets hitched Contributor to MSNBC Michael Schmidt
Over the weekend, Nicolle Wallace and Michael S. Schmidt got married, Page Six can exclusively confirm.
An MSNBC spokesperson confirmed to Page Six that the host and Schmidt wed on Saturday in a private ceremony attended by close relatives.
On her left hand, the host of "Deadline: White House" wore a wedding band as she reported back to work on Monday.
In March 2019, Page Six published the relationship rumor between Wallace, 50, and the 38-year-old New York Times journalist. They first connected on the set of her show, where he frequently appears as a guest and pundit. The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist was around Wallace so regularly at the time that the two swiftly told network executives about their relationship, to which they gave their approval. The network executives also supported the relationship between "Morning Joe" co-anchors Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough.
When Schmidt and Wallace were sighted together at the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas, in 2019, it sparked rumors of "gallivanting," but a source close to Wallace refuted it, saying, "Nicolle is one of the most professional people I know." At the time, the insider stated that the couple had just gone out to breakfast together.

The MSNBC host and her ex-husband Mark Wallace have a son together.
Wallace, who oversaw communications in the White House under President George W. Bush, will be getting married for the second time. She was formerly married to Mark Wallace, a lawyer and Bush-appointed US ambassador to the UN, from 2005 until their divorce in 2019. The ex-couple had at least a year of separation before filing for divorce, friends had informed Page Six at the time.

Michael S. Schmidt, who was born in 1983, is a well-known author, journalist, and correspondent for The New York Times. He has been working for the newspaper since 2004. First and foremost, he is a past recipient of the prestigious Pulitzer Prize on two separate occasions. His articles for the press primarily focus on high-profile matters pertaining to national security and federal law enforcement.
His high-profile stories include, amongst many others, the revelation that Hillary Clinton used a private email server, as well as the investigation that was being conducted by Mueller. In addition to that, he contributes to national security coverage on both MSNBC and NBC News. In reference to his writing career, he published his first book in September of 2020 under the title Donald Trump v. The United States: Inside the Struggle to Stop a President, which went on to become one of the best sellers in The New York Times. He then went on to talk about his writing career.
