What We Know about the marriage of Nicolle Wallace

Nowadays, relationships in the newsroom seem to take one of two paths. Some people end up quitting as a result of failing to reveal their intimate relationship, as was the case with Jeff Zucker, the former president of CNN. While others marry. The latter was picked by Nicolle Wallace and her boyfriend, Michael Schmidt.

Wallace is presently hosting "Deadline: White House" on MSNBC, which AdWeek reports is frequently the second-highest-rated program on the network. Wallace did, however, serve as former president George W. Bush's communications director in the White House and on his re-election campaign before joining MSNBC, according to Leading Authorities. According to The U.S. Sun, Wallace served as a senior counselor to Senator John McCain during his 2008 presidential campaign after her tenure in the Bush White House.

Wallace has previously stated that she no longer sees herself as a practicing Republican, according to AdWeek, regarding her transition from working for a Republican president to being an anchor on a television network with a strong liberal slant. AdWeek is even circulating suspicions that Wallace could take over as the host of a program renowned for being critical of Republicans and right-wing politics, replacing Rachel Maddow, who is presently taking a break.

Schmidt officially does not work for MSNBC, but Page Six reports that he has appeared on Wallace's show frequently. Schmidt, a reporter for The New York Times, actually broke the news about Hillary Clinton sending secret information through her personal email account when she was Secretary of State

According to reports, Nicolle Wallace and Michael Schmidt are married

Although Nicole Wallace and Michael Schmidt both have well-known occupations, they have kept their romance a secret. Wallace, who divorced in March 2019, has made a concerted effort to avoid making headlines about her private life. The couple was only seen in public that same month at the South By Southwest (SXSW) event in Austin, Texas, according to Page Six. But according to insiders close to the couple, Wallace wouldn't make a new romance public so soon after getting divorced.

The source continued by saying that nothing further was happening between the two after they were seen eating breakfast together. But according to Page Six, Wallace and Schmidt wed in a quiet ceremony over the weekend. Although no official announcements have been made, viewers on Monday's episode of the show noticed a wedding band on Wallace's left hand.

Schmidt and Wallace aren't the first MSNBC employees to fall in love at work. The co-hosts of "Morning Joe," Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, wed in 2018, according to Vanity Fair. The relationships in both cases were made known to the MSNBC network executives, who are said to have given their assent. But it's safe to assume that this power couple will remain cool and professional in front of the cameras if Schmidt does go on Wallace's show in the future.
