Tinubu Will Not Betray The North, Says Governor Badaru
The Governor of Jigawa State, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, has denied rumors that if the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Tinubu, wins the election, he will focus on improving Southern Nigeria.
The governor said the history of the candidate shows that he will not do what he is associated with.
"The talk about his health, the visit we went to Makkah to perform Umrah, he performed Dawaf and performed Sa'i, that shows how perfect his health is.
"Nigerians should realize that the era of religion, sectarianism or ethnicity in politics is over.
"All the things that are being said about Bola Tinubu are nothing but lies from those who cannot win the election unless they try to block the glory of the APC candidate," said Badaru.
He disclosed this in Kano, while the APC candidate met with Islamic scholars from the North West on Tuesday.
Also, Badaru said that all the things that Tinubu did regarding his candidacy preparations, he did with the cooperation of the governor of Jigawa, Ganduje and Nuhu Ribadu who are all well-known in the Nigerian political scene.
The opposition, especially the PDP, is criticizing the candidacy of the former governor of Lagos State saying that he is not fully fit to lead Nigeria if he wins the 2023 election.
